Headteacher’s Welcome: Our Vision and Values
At Anston Brook, our vision is simple yet ambitious — to nurture confident, curious and compassionate learners who aspire to achieve their very best. Everything we do is rooted in our six core values: Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Resourcefulness, Risk Taking, and Reciprocity. Together, these values shape the way we learn, work and grow as a community.
We teach our children to show Respect for themselves, for others, and for the world around them — creating a caring and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. We encourage Responsibility, helping our pupils to take ownership of their learning, behaviour and actions, preparing them to make a positive difference both now and in the future.
Through Resilience, our learners develop the strength to persevere, to overcome challenges and to see mistakes as opportunities to grow. Resourcefulness empowers them to think creatively, to solve problems and to approach learning with curiosity and independence.
We celebrate Risk Taking, inspiring children to be brave, to try new things and to step beyond their comfort zones in the pursuit of progress. And through Reciprocity, we foster teamwork, empathy and kindness — recognising that we learn best when we learn together.
